Brianna Serio - About Me

I am excited to teach 4th grade and be part of the St. Joseph community. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in History and Secondary certification from Southern Connecticut State University. I also recently received my Masters of Arts degree in Elementary Education.
My own education has been in Catholic schools. I went to Catholic elementary school and Lauralton Hall in Milford for high school. My Catholic education was a major part in making me the person I became and I am thrilled to be passing that on to fourth grade. My undergraduate studies majored in history, which is my favorite subject! I love singing and acting and am the director of the Saint Joseph drama club.
I believe that a classroom should be a positive environment in which students feel free to express opinions, ask questions, and learn everyday. I know that each student is unique ans so is their learning style. I honestly believe that students learn best when they are active participants in the learning process.
